Emmy: It took me longer to talk than most kids. Because I couldn’t hear what they were saying so I couldn’t, like, copy it.
Jason: We had never heard about children that had hearing loss. We didn’t know anything about what we needed to do. We had no resources.
Renee: I remember the frustration just as a mother. Just like, “Am I really understanding my kids?”
Sophia: When I received the diagnosis, I really hit a very, very low rock bottom, depressive state. And it was affecting people around me.
